  • Yes.

    WaterLink WLH Push-Fit is fully compatible with HEP and WLP systems, except for:

    • Brass Tap Adaptors

    • Blanking Methods

  • No.

    WLH and WLP Brass tap adaptors are not interchangeable.

    New PB tap adaptors are currently in development to provide cross compatibility in the future – WATCH THIS SPACE

  • Yes.

    HEP, WLP and WaterLink WLH Push-Fit support sleeves are fully interchangeable between systems.

  • Absolutely.

    LEAP warranties all AS/NZS 2642 compliant pipe when used in line with AS/NZS3500 on WaterLink WLH Push-Fit fittings.

    Some pipe may feel harder to push in.

  • No.

    The blanking peg currently in production has been designed specifically for WaterLink WLH Push-Fit.

    • Further compatibility developments are already being explored.

  • Our demountable blanking pegs are currently in production.

    These will feature a spigot-style design, with a Polybutene (PB-1) stem that blanks off at the terminal end of the fitting.

    Availability is expected before the beginning of November

  • While brass blanking methods have been used in the past, a PB blanking peg provides a more versatile and cost-effective solution.

    An added benefit is that PB blanking pegs can be demounted, making them more practical during installation and commissioning.

  • Yes.

    HEP and WLP currently remain available for purchase.

    However, WaterLink WLH Push-Fit will progressively replace the 18mm and 22mm ranges across both systems over time.

  • WLP fittings will continue to cover both the 15mm and 28mm ranges for the foreseeable future.

  • The remaining HEP and WLP inventory will continue to be sold through.

    Some additional stock is still arriving to support a smooth transition. However, once this stock is exhausted, it will not be replenished.

  • Any existing WLP or HEP backorders will be supplied in the form originally ordered, unless otherwise advised.

    If you would like to expedite supply and are happy to transition to WaterLink WLH Push-Fit (subject to compatibility requirements within the fitting components), please contact LEAP to discuss available options.

  • While still demountable with the correct tool - our new fittings are now totally tamperproof and cannot be pulled apart.

    No more risk of incomplete or misarranged fittings finding their way into the market and eliminating unauthorized meddling once installed.

    This feature has been hard thought, long requested and thoughtfully engineered.

  • No.

    However, our team would be more than happy to help facilitate the acquisition of pipe and fittings through one of our wonderful Merchant Customers.

  • Polybutene-1 is a polyolefin manufactured utilising Zeigler-Natta type catalysts which produce a highly isotactic thermoplastic with superior mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance properties making it the technically preferred material for the production of pressurised hot and cold-water piping systems.
